THOUGHTS:

My favorite thing about the movie was its creative framing of the story with the play within the film–ingenious. The costumes and settings, filmed in Technicolor, were sumptuous–loved that opening shot of medieval England and its Globe Theatre. The propagandizing aspects of the film felt a little corny and old-fashioned, but everything else was top-notch and highly impressive.
