Original Title: Chun gwong cha sit
Director: Kar-Wai Wong
Country of Origin: Hong Kong | Japan | South Korea

Thoughts:

Typically moody, dreamy, and melancholy film from Kar-Wai Wong that situates a gay male couple from Hong Kong in Argentina, where their turbulent relationship dissolves. The sense of disconnection and marginalization seems to loom over the pair, who struggle to make their romance work in the middle of difficult circumstances. The characters always seem out of sync with each other and only rarely seem to break through to each other. There’s not much plot, but it’s the moods, atmosphere and sense of disharmony that carry the film.
