Director: Rachel Ward
Country: Australia

THOUGHTS:

This southern Gothic set in the Outback is a well-made and well-acted tale of family dysfunction and incest. Secrets and lies are gradually unearthed until things come to a head in the last quarter of the film. The family relationships were complex and interesting, and the mystery kept my interest throughout. A very good, if fairly conventional, drama.
